Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.
Welcome to the 2026-27 session of Community Bible Study! Whether you’ve attended CBS for years or are participating for the first time, we know you will be blessed by loving the LORD with your mind through studying His Word.
This year, our class will dig deep into the first 22 chapters of Genesis and the book of Job. Our prayer is that you will be transformed by the power of this study. May God bless your efforts!
This year’s adult and high school student schedules are as follows: Classes will begin their mornings with their Core Groups at 10:15 AM for announcements and to discuss our weekly lesson. We will transition to the sanctuary for a time of gathering and conclude our study around noon after a brief wrap-up by the Teaching Director or Assistant Teaching Director who will make applications of the lesson in their teaching.
Our children, early readers through high school, will also study the books of Genesis and Job in a way geared toward their developmental levels. The curriculum for children ages three through kindergarten contains carefully crafted lessons on a three-year cycle. Our youngest, infants through age two, are cared for in the nursery. We would love for you to volunteer in the children’s classrooms. Serving others is a blessing. We don’t want you to miss out! Please plan to assist the children a few times throughout the year.
CBS is not in session when the Mountain View–Birch Tree schools are closed for inclement weather. All other cancellations will be at the discretion of the Teaching Director with everybody’s safety in mind.
Please invite new participants to join us throughout the year. They will receive a short orientation on their first day and will be introduced to their new Core Group. If they will be bringing children, please help us by notifying our NextGen Director prior to their visit.
Feel free to let me know how I can help you grow in God’s grace.
